Rules For Tattoo Artists
General: All participants must maintain a professional and respectful attitude. All participants must abide by the festival rules. Festival organisers may suspend any participant from the festival if they deem it necessary. Work Space: Each tattoo artist will be allocated a booth for workspace and equipment. Booths must be kept clean and tidy. Used needles and other medical waste must be disposed of properly. All equipment must be sterilised in accordance with hygiene rules. Tattoo Application: The identity and age of the customer must be checked before tattoo application. The customer's consent must be obtained in writing. All tattoo procedures must be carried out in accordance with hygiene rules. All materials used must be disposable and sterile. Competitions Tattoo artists who wish to participate in competitions must register in advance. Competition rules and conditions will be notified to all participants in advance. The decision of the jury members is final. Copied designs will be disqualified. Other: It is forbidden to sell food and beverages in the festival area except for the stands defined by the organisation. Permission must be obtained from the organisers to play music in the festival area. Participants cannot make advertisements and promotions in the festival area without permission from the organisation. Competition Rules
There will be 3 winners in all categories, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. In all categories, except for the Healed category, the winners will be selected from the tattoos made during the festival. The jury of each category will be announced before the competition and the independent judgement of the jury will be valid. Categories: Best of Healed Black&Grey: The winners will be selected from tattoos in healed black and/or grey tones. Each artist can enter a maximum of two tattoos in this category. Best of Healed Color: Winners will be selected from amongst healed coloured tattoos. Each artist can enter a maximum of two tattoos in this category. Best of Small Black and Grey: The top 3 winners will be selected from the 10x10 cm tattoos in black and/or grey tones created during the festival. Best of Small Color: The best color tattoos up to 10x10 cm in size will be selected. Best of Lettering and Calligraphy: The best of lettering and calligraphy style tattoos will be selected. Best of Friday: The 3 best works of the day will be selected among the winners of Friday (except healed) and those who want to compete only in this category. Best of Young Skill: Young talents under the age of 24 can participate in the competition and the best ones will be selected. Those born on or after 01.01.2000 can participate. Identity declaration is mandatory in this regard. You can participate in the Young Skill category with any style. Works entered in Young Skill can participate in other competition categories regardless of whether they win an award or not. Best of Young Skill competition is sponsored by Cheyenne. The winner will win a Cheyenne-sponsored Berlin Factory Day tour. Best of New School: The best among the tattoos made in New School style will be determined. Best of Color: The best 3 works will be selected among coloured tattoos. Maximum size is A4 size. Best of Black & Grey: The winners will be selected among tattoos in black and/or grey tones. Maximum size A4 size. Best of Saturday: The best tattoo of the day will be selected among the winners of Saturday and those who want to compete only in this category. Best of Traditional: The first three works will be selected among Asian, Neo Traditional and Old School style tattoos. Best of Black Work: The best of all black works such as Black Work, Fine Line, Dotwork etc. will be selected. Best of Avangarde: In this category, the best 3 works will be selected among the participating tattoos. Best of Large Black &Grey : The best 3 works will be selected among the tattoos in black and/or grey tones larger than A4 size. Best of Large Color: The best 3 works will be selected among the coloured tattoos larger than A4 size. Best of Realism: The best 3 tattoo works will be selected among realistic tattoos. Best of Sunday: The best work will be selected among the winners of Sunday and those who want to compete only in this category. Best of Show: The best work will be selected among the winners of all days and only those who want to compete in this category. NOTE: Copied designs will be disqualified. The same tattoo can be entered in a second category, provided that the composition is continued. For example, A4 size B&G tattoo can be entered into the competition in the Large category by ensuring the integrity of the composition and enlarging it.
